Celebrity photographs could boost prosthetic limb development
PICTURES of celebrities could help the development of prosthetic limbs which are controlled by the brain. 
New research from Leicester University has revealed that the way the brain responds to certain images could pave the way for new treatments in epilepsy, Alzheimer's and other serious conditions. 
Neuroscientist Rodrigo Quian Quiroga made the discovery after showing epileptic patients hundreds of pictures of famous people and landmarks.

Researchers in synthetic bone advancement
A METHOD of producing synthetic bone is being developed by researchers at the University of Warwick. 
The team is now working closely with Warwick Ventures, the University's technology transfer office, to find a suitable partner to help commercialise the technology. 
Dr Kajal Mallick is developing the idea, using techniques normally used to make catalytic converters for cars, along with his postgraduate researcher James Meredith.
